From antique tractor displays to thrilling parades, there’s something for everyone to savor this fall.
First up, field days of the past, antique tractor show. Witness the roaring engines of vintage tractors and equipment, and immerse yourself in a world where heritage meets horsepower. It’s a nostalgic journey that’ll transport you to the heart of Amelia’s agricultural roots. Next up, the homecoming parade. The streets come alive with the high school kids and green and gold spirit during the homecoming parade where the community unites in a great display of ACHS Raider pride. From the floats to the marching band, this parade is a time-honored tradition that captures the fun of homecoming. The parade will occur on October 5th at 5:00 p.m., and the route will begin at Wayside Avenue and end at the Amelia County High School parking lot.
Next up, Fright Fest. Amelia Fright Fest combines the old-school haunted attraction built with a focus on high-quality gore, makeup, and top-notch acting. Fright Fest opens on September 29th and is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays plus other dates in October and November. Well, for a more calmer experience, the Wildflower Festival will help you relax in nature’s artwork. It’s held at Woods Tree Farm, where the landscape bursts with beautiful hues of red, orange, and gold. This event occurs in September. For exact dates and times, visit www.woodstreefarm.com.
Next up, National Day of the Cowboy. Amelia pays homage to preserving pioneer heritage and cowboy culture with roping, trick riding, fast draw, a bow-making demonstration, blacksmithing, and perhaps even a thrilling shootout. This event will be held on October 21st and 22nd at the Amelia County Fairgrounds, which are located at 16501 Five Forks Road.

The Harvest Festival at Windsor Lavender Farm is sure to delight. This event is set to showcase a vibrant farmer’s market and an array of craft vendors offering a treasure trove of local produce, pumpkins, and artisan creations. And lastly, Coverly Farm Pumpkin Patch. It wouldn’t be a fall in Amelia without a visit to Coverly Farm to get your pumpkins.
